SHAME PRIDE Burger
We’re in the midst of a game of ‘Can You Top This’ in the world of juice-bomb pub burgers, with every chef going white knuckles and playing a game of chicken with their diners and common sense. Who will flinch?
The Burger 15 at Ladder 15 features toppings of short rib and bone marrow. The Whiskey King at Village Whiskey boasts foie gras and white truffles. The PYT Wilco Burger rocks a halved bratwurst on top of ground beef. The Good Dog burger crams Stilton Bleu Cheese into every nook and cranny of their mouth gaping patty. We’re fatter just writing this.
Not to be outdone, the new SHAME burger at just-popped Wishing Well, located at 9th and Catherine Sts., has tossed it’s greasy chapeau into the ring of Overindulgent Burgerphile Offerings. Topped with a fried egg, a crispy brick of house-made scrapple and “at least one ground beef patty,” this is the one that we’re gonna take to our graves. Or it’ll send us there first. Either way, it’s gonna be one tasty ride, and we’re not going alone. Don’t worry, we can hold hands.
